MX5 Livery Requirements for 2021

As with any racing organization, we have an obligation to our sponsors to provide exposure of their branding; this has been made extremely difficult by iRacing's decision to sell the banner on the Global Mazda MX5 Cup car to Fanatec. To remedy this we have added a Ricmotech banner on the most forward section of the hood of the car, in the location where "Mazda" appears in real life in the Battery Tender Global Mazda series.

Full regulations are as follows:

  • "Ricmotech" will appear on the number plate, hood, and rear tag plate

  • "Apex Racing TV" will appear on the nose, on the left and right

  • "PROforma Elite Texas Graphics" will appear on nose of the car, closest to the fender, on both the left and right; and will appear on the number plate

  • "Ricmotech Real Gear" will appear on the rear fender close to the wheel well on both the left and right of the car

  • The insignia of the Ricmotech SportsCar Championships will appear on the center nose of the car

  • The new Ricmotech branded class insignia will appear in 3 places: front bumper on the left and right, and the rear bumper opposite the number

  • PRO division entries will be designated with black coloring on the class insignia, number plate, rear tag, and mirror pods

  • OPEN division entries will be designated with Ricmotech Red coloring on the class insignia, number plate, rear tag, and mirror pods

  • The number font for 2021 is

  • All numbers will be in white on number plates

  • The rear number will remain in the position as used by iRacing, and is preferred to be in white where possible; at all times the rear number should be clearly visible by first using an alternative color, or using a 4 pixel outline where necessary
