GT CHALLENGE PAINTS

Please take a few minutes to review this page and read the decal overviews below, detailing the Ricmotech GT Challenge presented by PROforma Elite Texas Graphics painting guidelines. Our goal is to provide an updated look to our broadcast events, and a more realistic and immersive experience for our drivers. Beginning with season 2 of 2019, we have ceased using Trading Paints for displaying paints on broadcasts, as have most iESRN partners - so all paints must be submitted to the league prior to entry into competition. The league will then distribute approved paints to drivers and to our broadcast partner.

We are more than happy to work with you if you need to make adjustments to work with your paint scheme; contact Bobby Childs, Media & Graphics Development, at any time to discuss. You are not required to place these decals yourself; the information provided on this page is to guide you in completing your paint so that these decals can be placed for you by the league. Links to the files you will need are at the bottom of the page.

Quick Jumps:

decal requirements and utilization

GT Le Mans features the Ford GT 2017 GTE, Ferrari 488 GTE, Porsche 991 RSR GTE, and the new BMW M8 GTE sports cars. A combination of better tires and more downforce allows the cars to lap faster, but require more effort to drive due to lack of ABS and less horsepower.

The number plate for GTLM has the following requirements:

  • Ricmotech featured prominently at the top as the series title sponsor

  • Championship badge featured in the lower left

  • Series badge in the lower right

  • White numbers on a field of red

GT Daytona features the Mercedes AMG GT3, BMW Z4 GT3, and Audi R8 LMS GT3 in sports car competition. Gobs of horsepower and electronic go-fast goodies make these cars easier to drive - but lack of downforce and tires that wear out faster present a real challenge.

The number plate for GTD has the following requirements:

  • Ricmotech, the series title sponsor, featured prominently at the top

  • Championship badge featured in the lower left

  • Series badge in the lower right

  • White numbers on a field of green

Other Requirements

Numbering: two-digit numbers will be in Arial Bold, and three digit numbers will be in Arial Narrow Bold; the number should fill the field on the number plate. Adhering to IMSA specifications, the rear of each car is required to display the driver's registered number:

Drivers intending to run a three-digit number should assume a wider area will be needed on the rear for the number.

Windshield: each car will carry the Ricmotech GT Challenge banner logo in the center of  the windshield on a black background.

GTLM Specific: number plate background, rear wing endplates, mirror pods, class decals, and windscreen will be Ricmotech Red (#ff0909)

GTD Specific: number plate background, rear wing endplates, mirror pods, class decals, and windscreen will be Pantone 354 C (#00b140)

Series & Sponsor Decals

As the sanctioning body, the Xtreme Motorsports logo should appear in a high visibility area on the hood along the center-line of the hood, with the exception of the BMW M8 GTE where it will display on the edge of the hood by the passenger side air inlet or headlamp (replaces IMSA decal).

The Ricmotech Sportscar Championship is represented by this badge. RSC encompasses all road racing series and events at XMS, including the Sportscar Series; GT Challenge; and World Challenge.

The Ricmotech GT Challenge is represented by this badge, which displays both Ricmotech as the title sponsor and PROforma Elite Texas Graphics as the series silver sponsor. It should appear on all number plates.

Real Gear is a new brand of products being offered by series title sponsor Ricmotech. The logo should appear on the rear quarter panel between the wheel well and rear bumper (replaces VP Fuels).

Pro Forma Elite Texas Graphics is the associate series sponsor of both road racing championship series at Xtreme Motorsports. A version of this logo or the sponsor's URL should appear on each side of the front and rear bumper (replaces oil manufacturer for car).

The logo of our broadcast partner should appear on each side of the front and rear bumper, with the the exception of the Porsche 991 RSR where it will display in the center (replaces Michelin).

File Gallery

The files below are provided for you to line up your paints, and are not for use in a completed paint. The files are sepia-toned PNG files you can simply import into your paint editor of choice. Note: all guides are 2048 x 2048, the league's preferred resolution for paints. Do not submit these guide layers or the default iRacing decal layers with your paint! Your paint will be sent back for correction if this occurs.

Files may be submitted in TGA (24 or 32 bits/pixel), PNG, or flattened PSD format - no layers, please. Additionally, do not compress your files; it is important to use a high resolution so your paints retain their appearance through being saved multiple times. The league will compress the files after the decals are loaded prior to adding to the paint pack.

Please send all submissions and inquiries to Bobby Childs, Media & Graphics Development.

We have a new paint updater that you will need to use in order to see league liveries during events. We ask that all league members and broadcast partners install the updater; please submit any feedback or issues to a league admin.

Please uninstall the older paint updater if you had it, and allow the software to run if prompted with warnings by your computer.
